The oldest person alive was born on April 19, 1897, meaning that April 18th, 1897 was approximately the last time the Earth was inhabited by an entirely different set of people and if you don’t think that’s the realist shit ever then you can get right on outta town.

This photo reminded me of a little something I just learned about called earthing.  This morning I went out to my backyard with my two dogs, a cup of organic detox tea in hand, and earthed!
Ancient healers believed Earth’s energy could be easily absorbed through our skin and through the soles of our feet.
Studies proves earthing (also called grounding) can improve your blood pressure, reduce cortisol, and even help problems sleeping. It’s done by reconnecting your body with the free electrons that flow through the Earth’s surface and it’s as easy as walking barefoot outdoors.

it’s true! i did this today! (yesterday evening). every once in a while i go out to my backyard with my doggies, usually near the resting places of my old pets and sit in the sunshine while i write in my journal. i know not everyone who follows me is pagan, but you don’t have to be so to benefit from the earth’s energy. i love my backyard.
